Sayyiduna Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, Verily, my nation will be afflicted by the disease of previous nations. The Sahabah رضي الله عنهم asked, O Messenger of Allah, what is the disease of previous nations? The Messenger ﷺ said, Wickedness, arrogance, turning their backs to one another, competing for worldly possessions, hating each other, and miserliness, until there will be oppression and then there will be bloodshed.
